GEWOG PROFILE.
Doteng Gewog has a total area of 193.1 Sq.Km of which 24640 acres are covered by forest and it lies in the North of the Dzongkhag. The gewog shares its boundary with Dopshari gewog in the South, in the west Lango gewog, in the North West Tshento gewog and in the East Hungrel gewog. The gewog also shares the Dzongkhag boundary with Thimphu Dzongkhag in the Northeast. Doteng gewog has an altitude ranging from 2350 meters to 3550 meters above the sea level.
The Gewog consists of 5 Chewogs, namely Juka, Phushar, Lichu/Jabji, Chuba and Atsho. The Gewog has a total of 159 households.
About 90% of the households have piped drinking water facility and over 100% households have electricity connections. The gewog has 6 km of farm road which provide access to the gewog.
A Livestock Extension Center (LEC), Agriculture Extension Center (AE0), provides extension services in the gewog. Health and medical facilities are provided by Outreach clinic (ORC).
