GEWOG PROFILE.
Naja Gewog has a total area of 151.8 Sq.Km of which (?)are covered by forest and it has an elevation ranging from 2,290 to 2,700 meters above the sea level. The gewog lies in the South of the Dzongkgag. The gewog shares its boundary with Shaba and Dogar gewogs in the East, in the North it shares with Lungnyi gewog. The gewog also shares the Dzongkhag boundary with Haa Dzongkhag in the Southwest.
The Gewog consists of 4 Chewogs namely Biotech, Theorem, Rangshigang and Naju, The Gewog has a total of 355 households.
About 98% of the households have piped drinking water facility and over 100% households have electricity connections.

In Naja gewog dry land cultivation dominates agricultural activities followed by wetland and orchard cultivations. Wheat is the principal crop grown followed by paddy. The main source of income is generated through the sale of potatoes, dairy products and vegetables. Livestock rearing is an important economic activity. livestock productivity is limited due to the dominance of local cattle. To solve winter fodder shortage problem, about 90% of the farmer migrate to the South along with their livestock during the dry winter months.
