RNR Inauguration under Tsento Gewog

The inauguration of the newly built RNR Centre under Tsento Gewog, Paro Dzongkhag was held on 29th March 2009. The Chief Guest for the day was Dasho Dzondag, Dzongkhag Administration, Paro. Regional heads, Gups, Mangmis, Tshopas, Sector heads and rural community of Tsento gewog were also present on the day.

The day started off with the arrival of the Chief Guest in a Chipdrel Procession, followed by Marching Ceremony. The project was funded by Wang Watershed Management Project(WWMP) under the support of the Ministry of Agriculture(MoA).

The Chief Livestock Officer welcomed the Chief Guest, invited guests and the rural community. He said that the RNR-Centre was built at a total cost of Nu. 59 Lakhs and took 2 years to complete. The RNR-Centre consists of a multi-purpose hall, two numbers of two-unit staff quarters and one RNR Office.

The Chief Guest in his address to the rural community said that this RNR-centre would benefit more than 400 households of the gewog and it would also benefit the farmers staying in the high altitude areas (yak herders).

Dasho Dzongdag concluded his speech with the hope that the RNR-centre would benefit the rural community at large by being the centre for informations and services.
