RNR Inauguration under Naja gewog |

The new RNR Centre for Naja gewog, Paro has been formally inaugurated by His Holiness the Je Khenpo on 25th June 2009. It has been constructed at a total cost of Nu. 5.5 million under RGOB funding. It consists of one office building, two staff quarters and one multi-purpose hall.
Naja gewog with a total area of nearly 152 sq. km consists of 17chiwogs and 575 households. Agriculture and livestock activities are the main source of livelihood for the majority of the population. In line with the Royal Government’s policy of taking vital services to the door-step of the people, the centre is expected to provide easy access to the vital RNR extension services needed by the farmers of the gewog.
It is, therefore, appropriate that a vital service centre such as this RNR Centre is constructed in the heart of the gewog and goes a long way towards fulfilling the Gewog Hub concept initiated and implemented during the 9th Five Year Plan.
