The National Council Candidate Election of Paro Constituency held on the 31st of December, 2007 has Ugyen Tshering from Dopshari Gewog as the National Council Candidate from Paro Constituency.
He won the NC Election from the three contestants viz Jambay Dorji, Lungnyi Gewog, Phub Dorji, Wangchang Gewog and Ugyen Tshering, Lamgong Gewog.
He got total votes of 2886, i.e the addition of votes secured as per EVM =2761 and votes secured as per Postal Ballot=125.
Jambay Dorji from Lungnyi Gewog got total votes of 2088, i.e 1991 votes secured as per EVM and 97 votes secured as per Postal Ballot.
While Ugyen Tshering from Lamgong Gewog secured total votes 1883, i.e 1823 votes secured as per EVM and 60 votes secured as per Postal Ballot and
Phub Dorji, the contestant from Wangchang Gewog got total votes of 2004, i.e 1968 votes secured as per EVM and 36 votes secured as per Postal Ballot.
